Short Wait Time (24-Hour Emergency Services)

Did you know that if you walk into the doors of the CMC Emergency Department, on average, a patient at CMC waits only 12 minutes before seeing a physician! Our short wait times allow for patients to be seen quickly without having to compromise the high level of service they are accustom to. Please be aware that at CMC, all of our patients are important, but we must provide care to the most critical patient first. In these instances, your wait time may vary based on your condition and the number of patients ahead of you when you arrive.
The updated Emergency Department at Colusa Medical Center is a comprehensive, modern, multidisciplinary center staffed to treat the needs of adults and children with life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The Emergency Department has 3 brand new state-of-the-art rooms. CMC’s Emergency Department is proud that it serves approximately 2,000 patients annually assisting them in their time of need. Using the skills and expertise of general practitioners and highly trained specialists, the CMC Emergency Department physicians and nurses are prepared to care for seriously ill and injured patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The CMC Emergency Department will diagnose emergency conditions and undertake acute interventions to stabilize patients.
